Established over 20 years ago, Oakford Shipwrights is based in Naval Base, just south of Fremantle, Western Australia. We have extensive experience in the ship building industry, including;

Shipbuilding
Outfitting of boats, ships and oil rigs
Gas platform refurbishments
Major and minor repairs

Work is carried out at our factory in Bibra Lake, or offshore as may be required by our client. Here at Oakfords, we understand our client’s needs and we offer a high degree of flexibility and expertise. Our past record is testament to our ability and willingness to work around production requirements and scheduled shutdowns, and most importantly finishing the job within specified deadlines.

At Oakford Shipwrights we employ 15 fully qualified tradespeople, including Shipwrights, Fibreglassers and Cabinetmakers all with a vast array of experience. Our tradespeople are trained in O.H & S procedures and adhere to strict safe work practices on all jobs. HUET & MSIC certification enable our people to travel offshore when required.

Oakford Shipwrights has recently commenced a partnership with an architectural/drafting team located in the Fremantle. They have experience in the offshore area, along with commercial and industrial applications. This partnership allows us to provide a comprehensive service to our clients, from the initial survey, design and drawing up of plans, through to manufacturing and installation.
